About me
Born in Caracas, Venezuela 1984. Alfredo graduated from BFA in Caracas at the art school Armando Reveron, he, later on, studied Post Baccalaureate and an MFA Master in Fine Arts both at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Since then he has been teaching and exhibiting his work at galleries in Caracas and participated in art fairs from South America. His work has been sold in Venezuela, the USA, Peru, and Colombia. Alfredo's work is connected to his childhood when he was treated for leukemia and art was an act of distraction.
Statement
Being able to merge the experience in my life during my disease with leukemia when I was young, and the practice as an artist is the perception I have of my work. It's a practice of repetition where constantly I am making and elaborating the act of drawing and undrawing.

The obsession with my work starts with the image of the horse and ends up with abstraction. I recreate the image of the horse, challenging myself to play with composition and color.
​
The art I create I am attached to the act of adding, sewing, fragmenting, or juxtaposing elements, where Collage works as a mechanism to integrate and express different ideas of drawing.
